FlingSmash Flies into Wii This Summer

By Allison Bates

Although it had been previously announced, the upcoming Wii game FlingSmash popped up again at E3 2010 with a new gameplay trailer. The ultra-colorful preview showed the game’s main character, a spherical smiley face with named Zip, being flung at a variety of obstacles and bosses that leaned more towards cute than menacing, which, not surprisingly, led to their being smashed. In an interesting feature, left-handed players will also be able to horizontally flip the game in order to make it easier for them to play. The Artoon-developed and Nintendo-published family-friendly destruction fest will be available in July and utilize the Wiimote’s Motion Plus attachment.
