Majesco Entertainment Company, an innovative provider of video games and digital
entertainment products for the mass market, today announced the retail
availability of Nancy Drew: The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park for
the Nintendo DS. Developed by Gorilla Systems Co. and licensed from
Simon & Schuster, Nancy Drew captures the mystery of the series in
an all-new story written exclusively for the premier portable gaming
"With her aspirational character traits of independence, intelligence
and resourcefulness, Nancy Drew is enjoying a renaissance with
today's girls," said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing. "We believe
this classic character is well-suited for the growing female Nintendo
DS audience looking for new interactive experiences."
Olde World, a multimillion dollar vacation spot celebrating the peak of
history's greatest civilizations, is the brainchild of billionaire
industrialist Thaddeus Belmont. On the eve of Olde World's opening, the
usually boisterous billionaire hasn't been seen or heard from in days,
and it's up to Nancy to unravel his mysterious disappearance.
In Nancy Drew: The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park, players assume
the role of the classic teenage super sleuth. Players must collect
clues, decipher puzzles, follow suspects, sneak into areas and much more
as they use their deductive reasoning skills to progress through 13
increasingly difficult chapters in graphic novel format. Touch Screen
play is incorporated into unique conversation and unlocking mini-games,
but players will also use the stylus in Nancy's Clue Journal to access
inventory and tasks.
Rated E for Everyone, Nancy Drew: The Deadly Secret of Olde World
Park is available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $29.99.
