It seems that retail finally felt the weight of Sony releasing Warhawk as an online download for 40 dollars, as a boxed version of the game is finding its way into retail at the same price. Released originally at 60 dollars with a Bluetooth headset the game is now slated for another retail release, this time at the lower price of 40 dollars with minus the headset.
No official word has come from Sony as to why this move was made, but it would be interesting to see if the product simply did not move enough online or retail pushed Sony to release it at the lower price in the store. Stick with mygamer.com for further details.
