At the recent Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, Ubisoft’s King Kong took home a “Best Of” prize awarded by a panel of six media specialists. The game, based on Peter Jackson’s upcoming movie (itself based on the classic tale of the garganutan ape), was given the award because it “transports players inside the movie and allows them to see what’s possible in a video game,” according to the jury. The convention held more than 130,000 visitors and 280 exhibitors, the largest in Europe.
