Activision’s new paintball shooter arrives on your PS2.

This previous week Acitivision's paintball title, dubbed Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball

MAX'Dwhich promises a high level of player excitement and interactivity by providing the gamer with new enhancements and in game abilities that will separate it from other first person shooters in the genre. What makes this possible, you ask? Well, initially, the game runs at 60 FPS which is probably just as fast or faster then the speed are which you are thrown into the game. This will involve you snap shooting at high speeds, jumping over bunkers, and generally giving people a surprise. Other new moves in the game are “Snake Jumping” which allows a player to jump over a kind of bunker called Snake Bunkers, Ramping which allows players to fire up to 24 rounds per second using the R1 and R2 buttons. You're not the only one who will get new abilities, though.. the AI will have ones as well. Examples of these are “Adaptive Stealth” which allows the AI to move up that field by crawling, crouching, and hiding behind bunkers while no doubt using Suppression Fire to keep you and the AI's other opponents pinned down. There will also be 15 new characters, 10 new paintball guns, 28 new items of gear from over 20 manufacturers, 80+ teams to pick from, and accurate field layouts from the NPPL, X-Ball and Millenium Series. There are more upgrades to this version of the game and plenty of places to get it.
