At Sony's E3 media event Hideo Kojima, creator of [i]Metal Gear Solid[/i], announced that the newest installment in the series, [i]Metal Gear Solid 4:
Guns of the Patriots[/i] due out in 2008, would be Snake's final mission and Kojima's to boot. This is not the first time gamers have heard Kojima say he was stepping away from the [i]Metal Gear[/i] franchise, but many believe Kojima is sincere this time around. The [i]MGS[/i] creator also stated that he will be showing a live demonstration of [i]Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots[/i] during the Sony premier.
