Those of you who would like to play more original Xbox games on your brand new 360 may have heard that Microsoft was not planning on updating their backwards compatibily list. However, these rumors have been confirmed to be false. In a statement to IGN, Microsoft said, “The backward compatibility updates are not on hold, and we’re working to deliver them as soon as possible. We don’t yet have a delivery date for these and will update you as soon as we can.”
In other 360 news, Microsoft is addressing some dashboard issues with an upcoming patch. Sometimes when trying to access or close your in-game dashboard, the game would freeze, and you would end up having to reboot. Microsoft has not announced an actual date for this update, but it should be coming sometime soon.
