EastAsiaSoft announced that Shockwave Triggers will launch digitally for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, XBOX One, XBOX Series X|S and XBOX on PC October 14th. Physical standard and deluxe editions for PS5 will be available to pre-order from the eastasiasoft store and affiliated partners this Thursday, September 17th.

From the creators of Wings of Bluestar, Shockwave Triggers is a vertical scrolling bullet hell shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world where crystals are used as currency and a primary power source. Players can choose between 2 pilots, each with their own strengths, weaknesses and motivations. Intense shoot’em up action is punctuated by the use of shockwaves to cancel enemy projectiles, adding an extra layer of quick-thinking strategy. Gameplay is presented in HD 2D sprites, while anime-style cutscenes drive the narrative. As an important feature for discerning fans of the genre, Shockwave Triggers includes “tate” and “yoko” modes so players can rotate screen orientation to take full advantage of their hardware setup.

Originally developed by Shinu Real Arts, Shockwave Triggers will be ported for consoles and published worldwide by eastasiasoft. Digital pricing is set at US$14.99/€14.99. Additionally, a 10% launch discount will be available on select platforms for 2 weeks following release. Physical copies for PS5 will be listed at US$24.99 for standard editions and US$34.99 for deluxe editions, which include a slipcover and soundtrack CD, expected to ship in May 2027.
