Lima Sky and D3Publisher announced that Doodle Jump for Kinect is coming to the Xbox LIVE in summer 2013. Doodle Jump for Kinect takes the adorably addicting, vertical-platforming gameplay of the original mobile game – which has made it the third most successful paid iOS app of all time – and brings it onto home consoles for the first time, with new content and an entirely unique control scheme made possible only through exclusive Kinect for Xbox 360 integration.
“We’ve brought the Doodler onto new platforms before, but never like this,” noted Igor Pusenjak, co-founder of Lima Sky. “The unparalleled freedom afforded by Kinect for Xbox 360 allows us to explore new gameplay experiences we never even imagined were possible when we first developed the original Doodle Jump.”
Developed by Smoking Gun Interactive in collaboration with Lima Sky, Doodle Jump for Kinect delivers a fresh, new take on the simple, accessible, tried-and-true action of the original. Players move their bodies left and right to control the Doodler, blast nose balls with arm gestures, fly with a flap of the arms and more, with other unique body motion controls. Doodle Jump for Kinect brings exclusive content to Xbox 360 that has never before been seen in the series: three brand-new worlds, treacherous bosses, challenging achievements, engaging power-ups and intuitive gesture controls.
Doodle Jump for Kinect will be available on Xbox LIVE for 400 Microsoft Points in summer 2013. It requires Kinect to play.
