Sonic Adventure Out Now for XBLA, PSN Soon

SEGA announced that Sonic the Hedgehog’s first epic 3D quest, Sonic Adventure, is now available on Xbox LIVE Arcade. This Dreamcast classic has been digitally re-mastered with 720p graphics and Dolby Digital Sound so that players can experience it for the first time in HD. Step into the shoes of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and the whole gang, and take on the forces of Dr. Eggman today for only 800 Microsoft Points.

“Last week marked the eleventh anniversary of the Dreamcast’s arrival in North America,” said Haruki Satomi, VP of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “We feel there’s no better way to honor that milestone than by providing both new and veteran gamers with the chance to experience Sonic’s first thrilling 3D adventure in High Definition!”

PlayStation 3 owners who want to join in the hunt for the Chaos Emeralds need not worry, as Sonic Adventure will also be arriving on the PlayStation Network in HD on Sept. 21 for $9.99.

This new and improved version of Sonic Adventure includes trophies and achievements, as well as the popular Chao Garden mini-game.
