As reported previously on other gaming-specific news outlets, the Seattle Police Department, in response to anti-video game violence lawyer Jack Thompson?s request that the creators of video game web comic Penny Arcade be arrested for criminal harassment, has stated that they will not be pursuing the arrest and prosecution of Penny Arcade?s creators. According to Seattle PD spokesperson, ?our preliminary review of the document [Miami attorney Jack Thompson’s faxed complaint] has led us to believe that it is most likely a civil matter. But we have forwarded it to the chief of our criminal investigations bureau to make sure that it is correct.?
