Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked Goes Gold

Game publisher Namco Bandai has announced recently that the upcoming game based upon the popular [a]http://www.adultswim.com/shows/samuraichamploo/[aa]Samurai Champloo[/a] anime currently shown on [a]http://www.adultswim.com/[aa]Adult Swim[/a], Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked, has gone gold and will soon ship to stores. The Samurai Champloo series, for those who don’t know, is an anime that blends the samurai tales of feudal Japan and modern-day hip-hop styles. Sidetracked functions as a sort of “lost episode” in terms of addition to the Samurai Champloo storyline. What Sidetracked purports to offer to the brawler genre is an integration between hip-hop rhythms and fighting. Depending on which hip-hop groove is currently playing, different attacks are available to the player. Sidetracked is expected to arrive in stores on April 11 for the PlayStation 2. MyGamer will be keeping an eye on this one.
