Riddick Remake Set for 360, PS3

In an interview with a Sierra Entertainment employee on Spike TV’s Game Head it was announced that there will be a new [i]Riddick[/i] game titled [i]The Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena[/i]. The game will be playable on both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. In the interview with host Geoff Keighley, [i]Assault on Dark Athena[/i] was said to include “all of the original content from the [i]The Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay[/i], as well as lots of new content, and new features.” The original content (graphics, textures, and story) are beingredone and expanded upon to make [i]The Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena[/i] a true next generation game. New single player content was specifically corroborated, although multiplayer was hinted at.

Sierra Entertainment, Starbreeze Studios, Tigon Studios, and Universal (all the minds behind the outstanding [i]The Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay[/i]) have returned for the next gen project. Vin Diesel was also confirmed to return for [i]The Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena[/i].
