Midway Announces Two Final Mortal Kombat Games

Midway has announced that [I]Mortal Kombat: Unchained[/I] will be released later this year for the PSP. Midway will also release [I]Mortal Kombat: Armageddon[/I] for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox entertainment systems. Both the handheld and current generation systems will feature nearly every character from the Mortal Kombat franchise and a create-a-fighter mode.

The two games symbolize the final installments on current handheld and console systems. [I]Mortal Kombat: Armageddon[/I] will feature a brand new create-a-fatality mode and a Konquest mode. [I]Mortal Kombat: Unchained[/I] will feature head to head Wi-Fi, six new fighters and an Endurance mode.

Midway expects [I]Mortal Kombat: Armageddon[/I] and [I]Mortal Kombat: Unchained[/I] to land in retail stores around the U.S. in the fall. Check back with MyGamer for previews and reviews later this year.
