What was an attempt to bring the field of competitive gaming more firmly forward into the public eye has now apparently collapsed with a dull thud upon itself. Yes, sadly, the WSG is no more and without any warning. However there are some indications to this left on the WSG's website even those are blunt to the point? Why has this happened? All that is to be said, it seems, it this. “Effective immediately, Games Media Properties will no longer produce the World Series of Video Games.
