Recently, Activision announced plans to purchase the developer of the acclaimed [i]Guitar Hero[/i] series, RedOctane. The acquisition plans are part of ,[i]what else[/i], Activision's strategy to broaden its horizons in terms of what game genres the company's game portfolio has to offer. The purchase is set to be made official towards the end of June.
