Nintendo of America has just confirmed that the DS Lite will launch on June 11th here in the United States. Polar White will be the color available and the price point will be $129.99.[p]Since its March release in Japan, supply for the DS Lite has been in short supply and some may speculate that the same problem will arise here upon the US launch.[p]The Lite model DS is 20% smaller than the current DS model and sports a smoother surface. Start, select, and the power buttons have also been moved to maximize comfort. The stylus is now slightly bigger to allow for greater control and will be housed in new storage location. The biggest and greatest adjustment to this new model are the brightness options. Users can now select from multiple back-lit settings to suit any lighting situation. [p]$129.99 is the price of the current model DS, but it is still unknown if Nintendo will drop its price to make way for the new Lite model. Stay will mygamer as a full review of the DS Lite will be posted sometime shortly after June 11th.
