Day of the Tentacle Remastered Now Available to Pre Order

Double Fine Productions, in collaboration with Lucasfilm, is pleased to announce that Day of the Tentacle Remastered is available to pre order today for PlayStation 4, Vita, and PC and will be released on March 22nd.

The game will be listed on PlayStation™Network as a Cross-Buy title for $14.99 with a 10% pre-order discount and sports a new PlayStation®4 theme as a pre-order bonus. PC pre-orders are also available exclusively at GOG.com where the game will be sold DRM-free for $14.99 with exclusive wallpapers for those who purchase before launch, and with a 10% off launch discount for the first week.

Originally released by LucasArts in 1993, Day of the Tentacle is a mind-bending, time travel, cartoon puzzle adventure game in which three unlikely friends work together to prevent an evil mutated purple tentacle from taking over the world!

Now, over twenty years later, Day of the Tentacle is back in a remastered edition that features all new hand-drawn, high resolution artwork, with remastered audio, music and sound effects.

Players are able to switch back and forth between classic and remastered modes, and mix and match audio, graphics and user interface to their heart’s desire. We’ve also included a concept art browser, and recorded a commentary track with the game’s original creators.

Day of the Tentacle was Tim Schafer’s first game at LucasArts as co-project lead, and a much beloved cult classic! This special edition has been lovingly restored and remade with the care and attention that can only come from involving the game’s original creators.
