Dave, since you gave me that tip, I went back into my secret stash of swag stored in my mansion in anvil. I had swiped those bottles on my way through the first time, before I even got that quest. Now I just have to level on up to Master. I'm already an expert in armorer, alchemy, blade, destruction, sneak, and a couple of other ones that are major. The minor skills don't level up nearly as much. Being a master of sneak is coming in real handy. I can sneak run with no penalty, it's just as silent as creeping in sneak mode. They can still see you, though, and hear you. However, unless they have extremely good vision, they don't see me even when I'm crouched next to them in the dark.
Next: finish the Ultimate Heist. I'll get the Grey Cowl and be uber sneaky. That'll help with those blasted random Oblivion gates. Does anyone else despise those things? Am I the only one that immediately leaves if one is nearby? I'm pursing some of the items that'll make it easier. I'm past that initial level of "do it now, and the enemies will be easier" into the "crap, now the baddies are twice as bad" part. So since I've gotta do it the hard way, I'm getting some good stuff to do it with.
My current problem is getting the stinkin soul gems. Is there a way to find them or do I have to continually buy?
I've also got Shadowmere. Cool horse.
