I would highly suggest just adding people you play with. There are a number of people who are actually very friendly, and even though you will probably never meet them, they're probably decent people to play with. Also, feel free to ask people in real life, and introduce friends to LoL as well.

I don't think I'm quite understanding this. You mean games where you click a few buttons, leave it be for a few hours, and you will get results? Well, I guess many mobile games and Facebook games are kind of the same thing, like aquarium games and Tiny Tower.

I came into this post thinking it was for single player games, which I disagree as sometimes cheats in some RPGs and RTS games make it more ridiculous and fun. But for multiplayer games, I'm definitely for game makers taking a more firm stance against cheating. It takes the fun out of the game...
