Question of the Day

Whatever day National Free Stripper Day is. I can't remember the exact date. Some time in August I believe. But it should be September 8.

I want to update my answer to this question. I've just heard on the radio that July 24th is statistically the happiest day of the year (the most depressing day is in the third week of January, coincidentally it's also the coldest).

Okay, keeping it gamne oriented, we got an Atari 7800 for a Chirstmas present one year, but since I had siblings we had to take turns playing it. A friend of mine called to tell me what he got for Christmas and because I was talking to himI missed my turn and got relaly angry and yelled at him. I was very very immature at the time. I apolgized the next day, but I still feel really bad for doing that and whenever I feel like blowing up at someone over something stupid, I remember that and it usually calms me down. It would be stupid to lose a friend over video games.

G, did you ever tell your dad how you feel about that?

Not sticking with baseball as I was growing up. Played four years and I knew I was good, but I just lost interest and I think I got afraid of the ball at one point (after receiving a few painful bean balls).

I regret not telling you guys that I would be late getting online (I spend Thursday mornings in another town with spotty internet at best) and you were forced to fend for yourselves question wise today. Sorry.

I regret the way I handled things with my first girlfriend (I should have never deflated her). Also, I regret majoring in Economics. Thus far, those are the only two regrets I have in this life.

Question of the Day:

Are you going to mind if I make next week's questions all Christmas oriented?

I don't mind, but them it was my idea in the first place.

I demand that all references to Christmas be changed immediately to "Standard Multi-Paradigmal Winter Observance"!

Just kidding. Christmas it up. It would be so refreshing to be a part of a community that isn't afraid to say "Christmas". You're pretty much not allowed to say "Christmas" in Canada, you have to say "holiday" or "season's greetings". It makes me ill, Canada pretty much breathes PC (which ultimately means the white Christian male [me] gets the shaft ALL THE TIME). I hate it.

Question of the Day:

What is your favorite Christmas (or Mid Winter Holiday) tradition?

My favorite tradition is the Christmas Eve present migration. It is my solemn duty to move all the wrapped presents from the "Christmas Staging Area" to underneath the tree. I get to rattle all my presents along the way and torment myself guessing what may be inside.

My favorite tradition is gettin the car, driving to the mall with the three billion other people trying to go there, driving through the parking lot for thirty minutes trying to find a parking space and finally stealing one near an entrance from some blue haired old woman, elbowing your way into the store where everyone is looking for the same out of stock item, arguing with other shoppers over who saw what first and thus has the rights to buy said items, being a total jackass to everyone around you because "tis the season", then getting back in the car and almost causing four accidents on the way home because you're talking on the cell phone.

I also like the whole "let's buy people stuff to show them how much we care" thing. I love how people work their assess off at a shitty job, sometimes working overtime, just to afford that item that will show how much they care, instead of actually, you know, spending time with the people they supposedly care about.

We just started a Christmas Eve tradition last year. An enormous Surf 'n' Turf feast with lots of wine. We get several live lobsters (which I have the onerous responsibility of boiling alive) and a bunch of bacon wrapped steaks and sausages. So good. So, so good.

My family watches an old school version of The Christmas Carol. George C Scott plays Scrooge. It is awesome and has some great lines.
