Wake up to a Psychological Thriller Later This Year
Alan Wake is a psychological action thriller coming to the Xbox 360 in the fourth quarter of 2006. You play as Alan Wake, a horror writer that relocates to a small town in the Northwest to lament over the recent loss of his wife. After some time in the small town of Bright Falls, Washington, Wake starts to have terrible nightmares that force him to seek help at a local clinic. During his therapy, Wake runs into a woman that bears an uncanny resemblance to his wife.
As time passes Alan Wake’s nightmares intensify and his worst fears become reality. Now haunted by hooded men all dressed in black, Wake must use light as his only weapon to discovering the truth about his lost wife and his horrendous nightmares.
Developed by Remedy Entertainment, Alan Wake, is a game with a keen premise and picturesque level design. Remedy promises that the use of light with combat will provide new forms of gameplay. However, don’t expect to see multiplayer support for this 360 title as Remedy is focusing solely on a great single player experience that will make Alan Wake a contender for Game of the Year.
