This is also the 1000th thread posted on MyGamer forums!
Hey...so, i'm guessing a lot of us here want to "break in" to the game design industry. But since that is so damn hard and it often requires some show-able work of some kind, I've always thought working on a mod or an amatuer project would be a good idea. However, it can be hard to find people who want to work with you. So...consider this the official "want to be a game designer" thread.
We could try and start a project here if there are enough people interested who have compatable talents and software...others may want to come here to recruit people to work on such projects. or just shoot the breeze on what it takes to get into the industry and some tips, links, etc. that we might be able to share.
So post away!
P.S.
I personally, would be interested in starting up a project with some people. I have my degree in 2D studio art and have some experience with 3D as well...platforms (for mods) include UT2004, HL2, Morrowind, Civ4...maybe some others i cant remember.
