    Movies to games?

Regardless of your feelings about the film(s), I think an updated Universal Soldier game might be cool. i know there was one in 1992, but I think it's time to bring it back. Maybe a FPS in a similar style as Black or a third person affair ala Syphon Filter.

    New Superman Trailer

The new trailer is fantastic, the flying effects are beautifully done, the cast is perfect, and using the original Brando performance of Jor-el is a master stroke, can't wait to see it.

    PS3 game improvements?

PS3 is undoubtedly going to be an outstanding and almost impossible to beat console when it is released, and will likely remain that way for several years. But what of the game content? Anticipation for such well known titles as: Tekken 6, Metal Gear Solid 4, Devil May Cry 4, and Motorstorm...

    How are video games written?

check out http://www.writing-world.com/freelance/games.shtml A nice summary of the process with links to other helpful sites. This would be aa sweet job.

    Reality vs. Fantasy

Which games are more fun to play (or watch), those that strive for the utmost realism and poignancy or those that are completely original creations and steeped in the fantastic? For me, there is a time and place for either or both depending on mood and circumstance, but overall I think that...

    Toughest bosses

The Ares, Endless Kratos clones, Ares combo Boss at the end of God of War wasn't as tough as it was tedious and frustrating, but I think it still applies for this catergory. How about the 16th colossus in Shadow of the Colossus? Again, he was a bit of a pushover once you figure out how to...

    Video Game Violence

Here's a silly question. Does any rational person truly believe that video game violence translates into real life violence? if so, how could you possibly justify that argument? When was the last time you heard about a school shooting in Japan (arguably the largest producer of video games in...

    You are dead

Leon is having one hell of a bad day, I especially liked it when that big dude with the giant wolverine-type claws stabbed him in the head, sweet.

    Demos?

i tend to agree here, the demos are a great way to avoid making a big mistake or discover a diamond in the rough.

    Demos?

How many game demo players do we have? Do you feel that the content of the demos that you play are a true measure of the game itself? thoughts.

    Books for gamers

Anything by Frank Herbet, Robert Heinlein, Jack Vance, Poul Anderson, Robert Silverberg, or James Blish (just to name a few). Steve Perry (NOT the guy from Journey) is also good. Specifically, Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card is very good for gamers, as is Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson.

    iToy=PS3

I like the idea of being able to create your own avatar for online (and offline) playing. Also, maybe a video capture mode for a fighting game where you not only create your character to play, but also record some the moves via eye toy and a basic motion capture setting, that would be kinda sweet.

What's the first game you beaten?

The first PC game I won was King's Quest I, and the first console game was Kung Fu Master for the Sega Master System (sweet). I don't remember what my first arcade game was, Killer Instinct maybe, or Tekken, pretty sure it was a fighting game.

    Too many Games

I had found myself in a similar situation with too many games and too little time (or interest). So I traded everything in and signed up for a Gamefly.com account. Now I get one game at a time, with no buyer's remorse if it sucks and I don't have to keep it around if the replay value is low...

    God of War 2

Just watched the trailer for GoW II, looks pretty frickin' cool. The subtle improvements to the fighting system and the animations for the mini-game kills are just what the doctor ordered. The overall visuals look great, and overall it looks like nothing had been compromised (sigh), not to...

    Top Ten Games List!

Here goes... 10. Mortal Kombat 3 (combos baby, combos) 9. Full Throttle (best Lucasarts game hands down) 8. Carmageddon (huge level, crappy graphics, lots o' killin' things) 7. NHL (EA series for Genesis) 6. Lode Runner (killer monks) 5. Pitfall (Atari) 4. Hard Hat Mack (commodore...

    Games made into movies

How about a movie based on the 'Hitman' franchise? A jazzy script and a good director could probably do some justice to Agent 47, despite the over abundance of other hitman type movies. Also, I think a really cool CG (final fantasy style) animated movie taken from 'Shadow of the Colossus'...

    Godfather 3

Godfather 3 was strictly a Hollywood 'push' film. Since the first two films were not only a commercial success and a critical success and Academy award winners, the 'powers' reckoned a third (that had nothing to do with the original story, not even on accident) would have to be good, right...

    Do You Finish Games?

I finished games several years ago, when it was worth it. Like so many other fellow gamers have stated, the games get repetitive and you just don't care and/or do not want to take the time. Besides, you can find detailed accounts of the endings of games online and often see clips as well...
