Yeah, they know how to cook....but boy, do they come up with some weird combinations....And yes, i'm married to one them "friggin yankees"

The oddest combos I've found so far, have been from Cincinnatti. Although I've heard of some very odd New England fish dishes.
I guess it just depends on the region. Being raised on the south and having eaten alot of mexican food it's odd when you go to a different region and you see their take on your food. I remember going to Philly once and laughing over what they called green chile, completely different from what we grow and eat.
Chili, BBQ, fried chicken, and iced tea are all things best left to the South, including our cousin states of Texas and area. I hate unsweetened tea. "Sugar's on the table" my butt. You can't mix sugar into cold tea. (grumble, grumble)
