The Wii Countdown

yes some of there games will suck but people will still buy them as well as the more anticapated games, but there are still DBZ fans who will buy the DBZ game and there still be people to buy Rayman and all the other games, if you look at it Nintendo has made a improvment from there last generations, there getting more creative, keeping the public guessing. there making improvments. are they still in third place, yes, but that could change at anytime, probably in the last quarter, it will probably move up a step and take sony cause we all know there's only 400,000 ps3 coming this year, and 1,000,000 Wii comming. so while there may be games that look crappy, there still the good games and the bad games. and like the ps2 there's the good games and the bad games. and ive even seen videos of people liking the third party games, the so dumb that its fun, like snakes on a plane. and sony is starting to loose there there third parties, because they dont want to spend all that time to make the transishion from the 360 to the ps3. so does that mean there going to nintendo? idk, but the third parties are getting more intrested.
SOME of the games will suck? Try ALL of them. And unfortunately for Nintendo...everyone is gonna buy those games on the frickin PS2. The only guessing they've made the public do was how they're going to screw this up more. And really...who cares about the launch? That's just the first two months of the next six years. It's not gonna turn anyone off or on and you can't make the case that it will. And no, you didn't see any vids of people liking the games. The only games that people REALLY enjoyed were Prime, Mario Galaxy and a few other first party games that aren't coming out at launch. And really, they aren't getting more interested. They're just porting more games. Which is true for the PS3 (cept the PS3 is getting GOOD games ported).

spudlyff8fan: Not once did I say the Wii was going to suck. I NEVER said that. I said the launch lineup was going to suck. And that Nintendo is beyond incompetent. Read before responding.

spudly you've been dissing on nintendo and everything the've made and done, if you dont like nintendo, dont tell us and dont piss the fan boys off. and yes you have said the Wii will suck, but im not going to search in every forum in Mygamer to prove it.

And...yeah...you're wrong. If you don't wanna hear it then you straight up shouldn't be here. This forum isn't here to make you feel any better. And no, I haven't.

Yea Spud the 360 Launch sucked the PS2's and the PS3's sucks. Did you not forget that it's the launch. Most games suck in the begining. It's like sex for the first time. It is bad and sucks but in time it becomes something more.
No it didn't. And no it won't. Not always. And maybe.

Now as I was reading radom crap yesterday in GS. I came across a mag the was interviewing some guy over at Atari. They questioned him an all thing systems. He praised the Wii and Nintendo for what ehy are doing. He also said it could back fire in their face so he hopes for the best. And with the 360/PS3, the guy went on about how he is mad that Sony went the route they did. Saying that Sony went this way of desperation. And that some companies nay cahnge their mind in programing games for the system. And with the 360 he is pleased with the hardware and would like to work with MS on some projects.

Then they went on to some game and other crap that did not matter to me. Then I came across this: The guy stated the Sony may have kicked their self in the face with the PS3, and that Sony's win over the system war was a fluke. Syaing that, Sony won by luck and timing, no planing went into anything. And you can see that now with the PS3.

I have no clue what he was talking bout but I thought I should share with you guys.
And so? I read lotsa stuff that said that. I read lots that says the exact opposite.

and this forum isn't here for you to judge. its about the Wii comming out, and fan boys going crazy.

and i find it easier to just copy and paste a sentence, so shoot me.

look what's happened to us, were at each other throats for what? game system! we shouldn't be yelling at each other in disput, but instead rejoicing that the new generation of systems are comming out and with that more games! it wont matter in the end who wins or looses cause were going to enjoy playing the games! so i say stop attacking each other, stop the critisisim, lets just look to the future of gaming.

It's easy to get into these kinds of arguments when people like Spud love to dissect everything anyone says if it's not precisely the same opinion.

Developers are very excited about the Wii, but only a few really have experience, so everyone is very unsure about where it will go. Spud's opinion is the most pesimistic of this uncertainty.

And consider that, when comparing the best launch games of the past generation of consoles, Sony's crested at eight out of ten while Sega, Nintendo, and Microsoft had 9.5-10 rated games and Sony pulled ahead after that lumpy launch.

I just think that's kind of neat.

Pay no mind to Spuds everyone.....he's just pissed 'cause he has no social life...haha....for real Spuds, lay off or get booted..plain and simple....and like Scoops said, 6 more days!!!....Whoohooooo

I feel for you Basil. Thats a long long wait. And theses next few days for me is like hell. We finally got the interactive set up at our store and I'm going nuts. I can only play excite truck but still holding that little controller is pure bliss,

And one last thing Spud, the 360 Launch did suck. NAme one game that was the biggest seller or the muct have that everybody bought, that was not COD2, Becuse most of the other games were either ports, or were not that good (PDZ)

And 5 days till I go to NY again for the laucn party in times square, WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO

SIX DAYS AWESOME!

i personally am not going to get one tell may cause thats my birthday and more games will be out for me to buy but still SIX FRICKEN DAYS!!!

It's not being pessimistic. It's being realistic. Does anybody here actually think that the Wii is going to change anything? Seriously. It's not going to. Nintendo is going to try to change things. Nintendo is going to encourage publishers to change things. But it isn't gonna happen. And there's no case to the contrary.

The Wii isn't going to attract non-gamers any more than any other console. The Wiimote isn't going to be standard for games after this generation. The Wiimote will have very few games that actually use it. Period.

The 360 launch did not suck. It had three exclusive games that got above-80% media rankings (Kameo, PDZ and Condemned), four ports that had an above-80% media ranking (CoD2, King Kong, PGR3 and NFS Most Wanted) and only one game with a below-70% media ranking (NBA Live 2006). So yeah...you're wrong.

the top games im going to buy are
1. zelda: twilight princess
2. red steal
3. Wii sports
4. Mario Galixy
5. super smash bros brawl
6. metroid
7. mortal combat armageddo
8. project H.A.M.M.E.R
9. final fantasy crystal chronicals
10. resident evil.

hmm at fifty bucks a game i better start saving
