When you'd compare these games, which one would be your favourite, and why?
I know most people really like Mario Kart 8 because of the great looks and the good DLC, though if you ignore those, wouldn't Mario Kart Wii be a much nicer game?
I believe that mario kart 8 is way more luck based than mario kart wii, looking at the items and at the tracks in general. In mario kart wii, you needed skill to win, because you had to be able to pull of some glitches/shortcuts to gain a lead and make good use of your items, while I got the feeling that in mario kart 8, everybody could win just because of the items, for example, a lightning is way more powerful in mario kart 8.
Of course, mario kart wii's official servers are down now, so you're kind of forced to play mario kart 8 now.
