I've been looking around the internet and it seems like almost all the opinions concerning the PS3 are totally negitive.
I, personally, am stoked! Almost everything I read concerns the high price point. It is an obstacle of many gamers to get over, I understand that. But the price of the original Playstation seemed like a near unattainable amount when I was just a wee lad. But I put my nose to the grind stone for my personal gaming bliss, and got my Playstation!
I'm all for reinventing the wheel - or out modeing it. (I'm equally stoked about the Wii) But the ole' analog stick, D-pad, and shoulder buttons have far from gone the way of the dinosaurs. The Wii may be a revolution, but standard gaming has yet to reach its potential. It would be a shame to count out the potential of the PS3 just because of the price.
