Anyone know how to get around the SSE issue with D&D Online, besides buying nw hardware?

I have an older computer with a newer graphics card that can't play D&DO b/c the motherboard is not SSE enabled. I'd hate to have to invest in a new computer just for one game. Replacing the motherboard at this point would be silly and if I had to, I'd just go for a new (pseudo barebones) PC.

Quoted:

SSE is a processor command set supported by all modern Intel compatible processors. It is required to run DDO.

SSE is supported by all Intel's processors since the Pentium III and Celeron lines and by AMD's Athlon XP and newer processor lines. (FYI: What AMD calls "3DNow Pro" is essentially 3DNow plus SSE support.) if you believe your processor is new enough to have SSE, and you still can't get the game to work, it is possible that the SSE support is disabled in the bios. For these cases the fix is either manually enabling SSE with a downloadable utility like WCPUID before running the game or downloading an update for your bios to fix this problem.

Also: From DDO's site:

Minimum System Requirements:

Processor: P4 1.6 GHz or >>> AMD equivalent with SSE <<<

Memory 512 MB RAM

Graphics Card 64 MB Hardware T&L -compatible video card

Network Connection 56.6 K modem

Software Windows XP, DIrectX 9

Disc Space 3GB, 5GB for high resolution

Recommended System Requirements

Processor P4 3.0GHz or AMD equivalent with SSE

Memory 1GB RAM

Graphics Card GeForce FX or better with 128MB of memory

Network Connection Cable Modem or DSL connection

Software Windows XP, DirectX 9

Disc Space 3GB 5GB for high resolution

If you are running below any of these requirements you may encounter graphical issues or poor overall performance which Turbine will be unable to troubleshoot.

Check the forst URL- you might just not have SSE enabled. If you don't have it, then you're trying to run it on hardware that's not approved- sorry. Might want to check DDO-specific forums to see if anyone's figured out a way around it, but I doubt it. You can also try upgrading the BIOS as well, assuming your PC uses at least a PIII chip...

Unfortunately, I cannot enable SSE and my motherboard is on the cusp of SSE/non-SSE computers.

I saw a post (lost the URL, of course) elsewhere that suggested a workaround, but no one had an actual solution.
