    Castle Crashers

How's the community for Castle Crashers, still strong? I had a lot of fun playing it awhile ago but I wasn't sure if it would really catch on. If it's still popular I might try it out again.

What are you guys listening to right now?

Acoustic Guitar Instrumentals from Songza. These days I tend to rely on generated playlists more and more, which is nice for introducing you to lots of new music. Unfortunately I often don't catch the names of artists or songs and it can be hard to track down ones that I've liked in the past.

Why are comic book games so bad?

There's been a few gems over the years: Arkham Asylym, Spiderman 2, x-men legends (I think that's the name.. the action rpg ones), and possibly others. I think the real issue is what others have been saying, most superhero games are actually just adaptions for the movies. Generally these are...

Do you think kids play games too much?

I think there is a bit too much gaming among children, especially younger ones. More than a few of my students have been game obsessed and sometimes it becomes an issue. Parents really need to be accountable for their children's media use. I don't think gaming in general is bad, but there...

What consoles do you currently own that still work?

SNES, PS1, XBOX, and the 360 are the currently functioning consoles I own. I also have a couple of gameboys, including the original one, which still work as far as I know.

Your top PC games of all time?

A couple of the big ones for me would be Starcraft and Morrowind. The original Starcraft is where I first started playing games online and the community back then was absolutely amazing. I remember listening/watching RWA's by Manifesto7 and others long before the time of "streaming". It would...

Which NES game did NOT depreciate in value for you?

Mario and Zelda for me. Mario is pretty much timeless, the graphics and gameplay are pretty much immune to time. The Zelda series has gone through a lot of changes throughout the years but I still think the originals are pretty fun to play.

Do You Buy Games On Day-one Release?

I used to all the time, even did a few midnight releases here and there. These days I usually don't get a chance to play until the weekend so there's not much point in getting it day 1. It's also nice that these days you rarely ever have to worry about games selling out, especially with the...

    Older systems?

Sentimental factors usually keep me from trashing or selling systems, but like others have mentioned it is a big pain to store them places. Occasionally I'll pull out the old PS1 to hit up games like FF7 or Legend of the Dragoon, but

    Osu!

I've never gotten into it myself but I've always heard really good things about it. Rhythm games can be a lot of fun, if not also a little difficult and frustrating.

    Snowed in! Looking for suggestions

Maybe choose a short indie game that you can complete in a day or so. Games such as Limbo, Five Night's at Freddies, Amnesia, Dear Esther, Among the Sleep (sorry I like horror games~), etc are all games you could complete in a single day. Alternatively you could always play around with some...

Seems like a good incentive to keep people posting, which is nice because an active forum is a healthy one!

    Baldur's Gate 2

Any love for the oldschool D&D rpgs? There's quite a few of them out there including Neverwinter Nights and Icewind Dale, but the usual favorite is Baldur's Gate. For those unfamiliar to these games, they are based on the older Dungeons and Dragons rule sets which would later be re-adapted...

    Games to look out for?

Also excited for Witcher 3. An amazing series of games with an awesome fantasy world. Unfortunately I'm not sure if my current set up can handle it. Maybe an excuse to upgrade?

    Do you play Emulator games?

I really wanted to get a PS1/2 emulator running so I could play through Legend of the Dragoon again and then try out Fatal Frame 2. Unfortunately I've never been able to get one to work properly.

Hey guys! Recommend me some cheap PC games that I can sink time into!

I just came across this game a few days ago and it looks really awesome! I really like the art style and the difficult game style. I also think it's kind of interesting the way it focuses on the morale of the party. As far as cheap games go I would really just recommend keeping an eye on the...

    Silent Hills

Haha fair enough! Horror games aren't for everyone, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't lose a few nights sleep here or there from playing some of them! And if Silent Hills is anything like P.T... it's going to be pretty damn scary.

    Steam Trading Cards

I think it's a neat concept and I'm glad to see people enjoy it. Personally I've never really invested any time or money into the card system or really paid much attention to it.

    Silent Hills

Silent Hills got some great hype this past summer and P.T was a pretty amazing teaser for the game. Anyone else excited for its release (hopefully) later this year? Do you guys think it will live up to its hype? I'm really hopeful the game turns out well and gives us another good addition to...

    Where is everyone?

I think part of the reason why you don't see the same crowds as before is because there is so much variety in the market these days. Compared to 10 years ago, there are just soooo many games to choose from. On top of that, it seems a lot of games are more "pick up and play" and "casual friendly"...
