    Have Games taught you anything?

Games have taught me tons. I could write a book about it. But to save space, I will give you a good example. My husband and I play co-op games. Recently, we started playing Forced. This game is all about communication, working together, and coordinating efforts. It can make the difference...

    Games You Are Bad At

I'm bad at shooters, because I get DMS pretty bad with a lot of them. If I can make it through the game without feeling like puking, then I have a hard time lining up my sights before I get killed (PvP). I am pretty good at Left 4 Dead though, probably because its not PvP.

    Plants vs. Zombies

Sorry, I meant Pvs.Z 2. There are certain levels where you have to survive with what they give you, and they give you the weakest plants against armored zombies. I understand that they want money for their game, but if I already paid for the game, I shouldnt have to pay more to continue...

    Why the stigma surrounding gaming?

People who don't play games don't understand the appeal. They view it as an addiction because that's what they are told to believe. I have seen a study recently that gamers who play co-op games make better drivers because of their skill at scanning, being aware of what is going on around them...

Mobile game to play over the holidays?

I play Plants vs. Zombies on my phone. They have different variations within the game, so you can mix it up when you get bored with one type.

The "Fake Gamer Girl" idea needs to die now, please

There is no difference between being a fake gamer girl, and feigning interest in any other thing that is perceived as an interest for the opposite sex. You see it as a problem because it affects you now that gaming is becoming more popular and the whole "geek-chic" phenomenon has swept the...

If all electronic games were unusuable tomorrow, what games will you play?

I'm glad you asked because I have recently been doing qquite a bit of research about tabletop games. I really enjoy watching Will Wheaton's show called Tabletop, where he demonstrates how games are played. Its a great way to get a quick idea of what gameplay is like. So far, I like Settlers of...

How much time do you spend for mobile gaming?

Plants vs. Zombies and other touch screen games are more fun on mobile. It is also faster. I thought it would be better on an ipad, but it's not. The small screen is actually ideal for quick movements.

    Plants vs. Zombies

I play this on my phone. I paid $2.99 for the game. I am not the kind of person to keep doling out money for a game I already paid for. They constantly want me to purchase new plants and power ups, etc. I don't mind so much, I mostly ignore it, but I swear some of those levels are meant to...

Do you think media causes violence?

Violence is not caused by any kind of media (news, tv, or video game). It is a people issue. When you have a broken society, and people are hurting mentally and emotionally, and they aren't getting the help they need, violence is often a side effect. It is a symptom of a deeper issue. Media...

    Game genres

I'm versatile. I like all kinds. I specifically play shooters with my hubby because it's what he likes, but I do enjoy Left 4 Dead. I like co-op games, but when I am playing by myself I like simulation, strategy and puzzle games.

    Best MMORPG?...besides World of Warcraft?

How did I miss that? I am always checking Steam for free-to-play games. And it even had a 20 minute movie. I added it to my Library. Thanks!

    Best MMORPG?...besides World of Warcraft?

I always wondered about the Final Fantasy games, but I feel that if I wasn't in at the beginning that I won't feel a real attachment to the game. You know, like coming in on the 3rd season of The Walking Dead, not really knowing what is going on. Would I feel like I was missing something if I...

    Best MMORPG?...besides World of Warcraft?

You hit the nail on the head. I hadn't really thought about how important freedom and exploration are, but I think that is what most other games are missing. I don't mind the grind so much if it is open world and I am free to explore when I want a change of pace. There are a lot of very linear...

    Best MMORPG?...besides World of Warcraft?

I played wow for several years, but just like a doomed couple, over time we just grew apart. I still enjoy that kind of game, but so far have not found another MMORPG that can give me the kind of experience I once had. Any suggestions?
