but I would have to say the for science fantasy the Dragon bone chair trilogy was good (well it's actually dragon bone chair, I don't remember the name of the second book and the third to Green Angel Tower is a two parts both parts are 8-9 hundred pages) but grate books by Tad Williams.
for romance would be the gothic Caprice good, lot of fog and a dead body in the attic and you can't beet that
kids books well I'll go with Harry Potter (the goblet of fire) was to best of what I have read of the Harry Potter books
horror Edgar Allan Poe (The Murders in the Rue Morgue) and (The Fall or the House of Usher)just disgusting
poetry Thomas Moore my all time fav (A night thought) and (the ring)
