The Leap Motion is a fairly new device that's starting to get a lot of hype lately. It basically simulates your hand gestures as smoothly and accurately as possible in the video games that developers have made for it (anyone can make games for it!)

I think it's a pretty sweet piece of tech, especially since it comes integrated with HP Keyboards. It definitely needs a lot more work to be done, but I think it's an innovation in itself. I can see myself making my own games for it, just because it's so easy to setup by the looks of it.

Do you think it'll become extremely popular among common gamers? It's $99 last I checked which isn't a whole lot if you think about what it offers.

It certainly looks like an interesting device, the biggest issue is how well it can replicate your hand movements. Coupled with Oculus Rift and other emerging VR tech, we can hope for fully immersive gaming in a couple decades' time I hope.
