It really didn't. And it didn't do anything particularly great in terms of delivery, either. It has great graphics and some of the best voice acting in any video game I've played (MGS, Xenosaga 1 and Half Life 2 are probably the 3 best-voiced games ever). But still, it doesn't have a deep story and it doesn't present it in a unique or interesting way.
