Zelda: LBW Comes With Instructions on How to View Instructions

Over the last generation of consoles, publishers and developers have been shipping games without instruction manuals. Some might call this tactic lazy or “going green” but either way it has become a lost art form.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, however, actually comes with a paper insert that instructs the users how to view the e-instructions when booting up the 3DS game. That’s right – these are instructions on how to view the instructions! Umm, doesn’t that kind of defeat the whole point of printing paper to begin with? And making matters worse, this thing folds out several times and is in like a dozen different languages.

If Nintendo went through all this trouble to design this paper insert, shouldn’t they have just created a normal instruction booklet? What is the world coming to?

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is available now for $39.99.
