The Sims 2: University announced

Electronic Arts announced earlier this morning that an expansion for [i]The Sims 2[/i] is on the way. Titled [i]The Sims 2: University[/i], the new expansion will give players the ability to watch their Sims become young adults as they settle into an all-new college town.

Let the pranks ensue.

“We are thrilled to open up a whole new stage of life for the Sims, allowing players to lead them through all the challenges of college and living the exciting university lifestyle of the dorms, parties and exams,” says Sinjin Bain, executive producer at EA.

“This title is also the first in a line of expansion packs that will address our players’ desires, further develop The Sims 2 franchise and continually expand the world of the Sims creating almost endless gameplay and storytelling possibilities.”

In the game, you’ll be able to join the campus crowd and live the college life, whether that be in the dorms or a fraternity/sorority house. You can also can choose from up to 11 majors and if you keep your grades on track, you’ll land a degree letting you choose up to four new career paths.

[i]The Sims 2 University[/i] is set to ship next March for the PC.
