For all you [i] Final Fantasy [/i] fanboys out there, do we have some news for you, good and bad.
Here?s the good, [b] Square Enix[/b] has dropped the news today the release date for the Japanese version of[i] Final Fantasy XII[/i]. FF XII will ship to Japanese retailers on March 16, 2006.
The bad is [b]Square[/b] has yet to clarify the specific release date for the US launch of [i]Final Fantasy XII[/i]. They did confirm that the North American version is scheduled for release later in 2006 but with no specific timeframe in mind. In past trends the Japanese and US release dates have usually been several months apart, [i] Final Fantasy X[/i] for example had a Japanese release date of July 19, 2001 and a US release date of December 18, 2001. We hope to see [i] FF XII[/i] in US store shelves around holiday season 2006 if not sooner.
