SNK Playmore USA, the publishing segment of SNK Playmore, released information that [i]The King of Fighters 2006[/i] for the Playstation 2 game console was shipped to stores across the United States. This latest release in the [i]The King of Fighters[/i] chain features familiar faces from a number of SNK's arcade classics. These include characters from [i]The King of Fighters: Maximum Impact[/i]. Richard Meyer from [i]Fatal Fury[/i], Hanzo Hattori from [i]Samurai Showdown[/i], Fio from [i]Metal Slug[/i], and B.Jenet from [i]Garou: Mark of the Wolves[/i].The game promises 38 new characters, along with 14 hidden characters, and 4 that have never been seen before. Billy Kane and Kula Diamond will also make an appearance for the first time in 3D in front of well sculpted backgrounds like NEOGEO Land.
