Earlier this morning, Sega’s American and European divisions announced an integration of their internal management teams in an effort to drive growth in the company’s western markets forward and to continue being a profitable, independent publisher. In the move, effective immediately, Naoya Tsurumi will serve as the American and European divisions’ CEO and remain as Corporate Officer for Sega Corporation and Europe.

“Integrating the management of our US and European organizations will allow Sega’s Western regions to aggressively develop and pursue products that appeal to Western consumers,” said Naoya Tsurumi, CEO, Sega of America and Sega Europe. “As we prepare Sega for next generation hardware, this unified organization will better position Sega for growth in these markets.”

In other moves, Simon Jeffery has been appointed as President/COO of Sega of America, Mike Hayes as COO of Sega Europe, and Sue Hughes as Vice President, Sales at Sega of America.
