PS3 Seeing Fallout DLC Soon, Game of the Year Edition This Fall

Bethesda finally announced plans to release downloadable content for Fallout on the PS3 this week after the many month drought that left many people wondering if it would ever come.  The first to arrive will be Operation Anchorage this June, soon to be followed by The Pitt and Broken Steel which.  All of the DLC looks like it is going to be released roughly one month away from each other on the PS3, hopefully giving the gamers time to digest the goodness the rest of us have been enjoying all these months.

That wasn’t the only announcement either, as two other content packs also managed to sneak in.  The first is Point Lookout that will be arriving in June for the 360/PC, followed by Mothership Zeta which will follow in July.  Although it should be pointed out that if you can wait a couple of months the Game of the Year edition will be showing up in October with all of the content on the disc.

With the way that the Fallout content has been installing over the last two patches it almost seems like a good idea to wait the couple of months for Bethesda to release the Game of the Year edition so everything can work right out of the box.  Although it is hard to knock Bethesda as they are the only company actively keeping a product alive with this much downloadable content this far outside of the release.
