With the unveiling of [i]Pac-Man World 3[/i] it has also been announced that Pac-Man himself will be turning 25 as of March 22nd, 2005.
Since first introduced by Toru Iwatani in 1980, Pac-Man has become a legendary videogame character, starring in dozens of titles and showing up on everything from air fresheners to cartoons.
“Pac-Man helped launch videogames into the mainstream, and as he turns 25 this year, we are happy to see that he continues to have an enduring appeal,” said Garry Cole, Executive Vice President of Namco Hometek Inc. “We’re delighted that today’s generation is still able to experience the magic of Pac-Man with Pac-Man World 3.”
Look for [i]Pac-Man World 3[/i] when it’s released this fall on the Xbox, PS2, GameCube, PC, and PSP.
