Grunts and nearby Elites claim that Master Chief was in heated combat with a brute when his plasma pistol missed the market, took a wicked curve, and hit the Master Chief in the back of the head. “It was the strangest thing,” claimed an eye witness grunt. “I have been using plasma pistols for years now and I have never seen a warmed up heater home in like that before. It was just like that one episode of Seinfeld with the magic spit.”
A moment later, allegedly Master Chief was caught within the blast of his own plasma grenade, sending his dead corpse flying through the air as if launched from a Man Cannon. “It was strange to see the MC go down,” explained the Arbiter. “But I knew he would respawn and finish the fight, so I wasn’t worried.”
