Microsoft predicts a big day for Halo 2

Execs for Microsoft are convinced that the hugely anticipated [i]Halo 2[/i] will sell big during its launch today. How big you ask?

Try $100 million.

“I’m calling a $100 million day on ‘Halo’ today,” Peter Moore, a corporate vice president in Microsoft’s games division, said at a Harris Nesbitt investment conference in New York.

To go with that, Moore went on to say that one store sold 8,500 units within the first 11 minutes of sales, while another sold 200,000 by daybreak Tuesday.
