SouthPeak Games, in conjunction with Legacy Interactive, announced today that Igor The Game, based on the animated feature from Exodus Film Group and MGM Studios, has shipped to retail stores in North America. The game brings all of the elements of the film into the living room, and is now available on Nintendo DS, Wii and PC.

A hilarious twist on the classic monster movie, Igor tells the story of one Igor who's sick of being a lowly lab assistant with a Yes Masters' degree and dreams of becoming a scientist.  When his cruel master kicks the bucket a week before the annual Evil Science Fair, Igor finally gets his chance.

Featuring the voice talents of John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Jennifer Coolidge, Arsenio Hall, Sean Hayes, Eddie Izzard, Jay Leno, James Lipton, Molly Shannon and Christian Slater, Igor is the must-see family comedy of the fall.

In the PC and Wii versions of the game, players choose one of four main characters – Igor, Eva, Scamper or Brain – and play through an adventure on their own or, on Wii, cooperatively with four people. Many of the challenges, locations and enemies in the game will be instantly recognizable for fans of the feature film.

The Nintendo DS version emphasizes a puzzle style gameplay where players perform movement combinations and fight enemies using the unique control methods. The Nintendo DS version also features a monster creation feature, and players can use their custom built monstrosities to take on puzzles or fight against the creations of other mad scientists.

"Igor is a wonderful film that has translated into a fun game for the whole family," said Ariella Lehrer, President of Legacy Interactive. "Everyone has done a tremendous job creating a game that captures the essence of the film while also being a great pick up and play interactive experience."
