Funcom announced today that it will be offering an increase of time in the [i]Anarchy Online[/i] game until January 2008. This offer to the players was a a first in the industry and has proved so popular that currently [i]Anarchy Online[/i] sports a player base that is almost one million strong. This free offer does not only extend to the core game but also includes [i]Anarchy Online-Notom Wars[/i] which gives players the chance to engage in PVP combat. Trond Arne Aas, the CEO of Funcom, offered this comments: “The free offer has been an amazing success and a chance to show massive amounts of players how good this game actually is,” He also added that “With a new expansion around the corner, an improved free offer, continued development and few good sci-fi MMO games around we believe‘ Anarchy Online’ can remain successful for years to come. At the same time we gain invaluable large-scale data on innovative business and distribution models, enabling us to shape the future of our other games better informed.”
