Microsoft just announced the games will be free during the month of December 2015 for the Games With Gold program. Xbox Live Gold members will have access to two free Xbox One titles and three free Xbox 360 titles.
On Xbox 360, starting Tuesday, 01 December, Castlestorm ($9.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through December 15th. Then on December 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Sacred 3 ($19.99) for free through December 31st. And as an extra gift for the holidays, Gold members can get Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising for free from December 16-31.
This is sort of disappointing news given the fact that Castlestorm was already made free on Xbox One several months ago as was Thief on 360. But at the end of the day, free is free so we shouldn’t complain too much.
An exclusive game like Titanfall would have made sense in December to entice buyers into buying an Xbox One over a PS4 this holiday buying season, but, well, ya know, we get free repeat games instead…
