forza horizon 3 preview

Introduction

Forza Horizon 3 is an upcoming racing game for both Xbox One and Windows PC, developed by Playground Games and published by Microsoft Studios. Horizon 3 has a September 2016 release date and is the ninth overall game in the Forza series.

Gameplay

This is an open world racing game and it has been confirmed that the map is two times larger than the one on Forza Horizon 2. There is a four player cooperative multiplayer campaign that can be played with friends, and since its part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, you’ll be able to play with friends across the Xbox One and Microsoft platforms. Yes, its another cross-platform title, and you’ll be able to race and free roam with up to 12 players online.

We have a list of 150 cars that will be featured in the game, but it’s worth mentioning how over 350 cars will be available upon the game’s launch in September.

The game puts you on the streets in Australia, and it’s supposed to be the most diverse open world in the Horizon series so far. There are new gameplay features, such as Convoys, Drift Zones and Danger Sign Jumps.

In Horizon 3 you will be able to customize your experience more than ever before, and you will be able to customize both the driver and the car. You will be able to do personalize everything, from your license plate to your horn.

You’re also going to have the ability to create custom race events, championships and Bucket List challenges thanks to the new Horizon Blueprint features.

There are eight radio stations for you to choose from when driving, and if that’s not good enough then you can create your own custom station using your music from your computer or Xbox One.

Conclusion

Forza Horizon 3 looks like a huge improvement on the first two titles, and everything we have seen so far is impressive. The Horizon Blueprint features sound awesome, but its the large open world and large selection of cars that will bring in new fans to the series, while still pleasing fans of Horizon 1 and 2. The co-op driving adventure is very appealing if you like to play online, and since its a cross-platform game you can play with friends on both Windows and Xbox One.
