It's baseball season, and we're going to have a nice Fantasy Baseball league. For those of you who don't know what fantasy baseball is, it is an online game where people form a team of MLB players. Each person picks up players, and forms their own team accordingly. In this league, a "Head-to-Head" league, teams are matched up on a weekly basis (a la fantasy football) and have individual statistics (like hits, home runs, RBIs for hitters and strikeouts, ERA and WHIP for pitchers) which are pooled and matched against the other player. The player who dominates the most statistics wins that week. You don't need too much baseball knowledge to play, though it obviously would help. And there's a wealth of knowledge available to glance over to get a gist of how things work (and I'd be willing to help, of course).

It's free, no buy in. All you have to do is sign up here:

Hit "Join Custom" The league name is 214521 and the password is 'hadoken" (minus the quotes, of course). The draft will take place this Saturday night, March 17, 2006 at 10 PM EST (or earlier or later, by popular demand). There are 12 spots open, and three are taken thus far (by me, Spudlyff8fan, Stan and The Roach).
