Yeah, this game has what I found to be a really interesting, unique system for character development. A lot of teh fun of the game is trying out different equipmenta nd seeing what powers each holds. Unfortunately, the dated graphical style may turn off some players, but it's at a bargain price.

Interesting. I had the opposite reaction, as the title screams to me, "bland RTS retread" or "poor man's Fantasy-inspired Civilization". A shame, since the title does look somewhat interesting after reading the article.

If you like the Baldur's Gate/Diablo style of games, it has a few interesting twists on the standard systems. It's worth a shot, but if you're not into action RPG's with a focus on skill building it might not be your cup of tea.
