First NCAA Football ’08 Details and Screens

2311

Ask any college football fan what sets their chosen sport apart from their professional brothers and odds are most of them will come up with the same answer – unpredictability. Specifically they’ll tell you about this year’s Fiesta Bowl where no-name Quarterback Jared Zabransky led his even less known Boise State Cowboys to a thrilling 43-42 overtime victory over the goliath like Oklahoma Sooners.

It’s that leadership that led EA Sports to choose Zabransky over other household names like Brady Quinn and Troy Smith as their cover-boy for NCAA Football 2008.           EA is hoping that Zabransky will be the perfect fit for the game’s newest feature, Team Leadership. While details on the new system are unclear, it is presumed that it will be similar to last year’s Impact Player feature which gave team’s boosts when a certain player was “in the zone” except Team Leadership will reward players for what they actually do, and not what the computer causes.

Also announced for this year’s collegiate pigskin title include a revamped dynasty mode including much deeper recruiting (For instance: if you promise a new recruit that he will start, but don’t deliver – odds are he’s transferring), and the next-gen debut of Campus Legend mode, which was a current gen only feature of last year’s game.

NCAA Football 2008 is still under development at EA Tiburon and will be released this summer for Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2 and PS3. Stay tuned to MyGamer for future updates.
